Thoughts and Articles on Rowing and Cycling from a Technical Point of View. I have been rowing and sculling for many years, and have never ceased to be amazed by how little of the simple laws of physics seem to feature in what s coached, even at a very high performance level. Why does an 8 go faster than a 4? How fast would you expect a 12 or a 3 to go? Why is it important to row long? What is the best blade depth? What s the difference between rowing upstream and downstream? Cleaning Your Bike Chain.
